Palestine has a rich natural history that is often overshadowed (and threatened by) the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. Amid this challenging environment a mostly volunteer team of has made major progress documenting the biodiversity and conservation status of Palestine’s flora and fauna and sharing it with students, local citizens and the international community. Come hear the story of how the simple act of doing science is a powerful, peaceful and transcendent response to occupation and conflict.
